Last month the 4th Annual AIA Honolulu Canstruction competition took place at Pearlridge Center.
It’s really neat what can be made out of canned and other non-perishable goods!
My favorite creation was the shave ice, but the creation that took home the People’s Choice Award was TUNeA toot-toot CAN deliver Aloha (Parsons Brinckerhoff):
The Hawaii Foodbank was the real winner in this event, as thousands of pounds of canned goods were donated to help feed those in need in Hawaii.
Other awards and entrants:
Jurors' Favorite: Pound Out Hunger (Fung Associates)
Structural Integrity: CAN You Say Shaka Braddah? (KYA Design Group)
Best Use of Labels: The Big Aloha Shirts (WATG)
Best Meal: USS Arizona Memorial – A Canstruction Tribute (Belt Collins Hawaii Ltd.)
Honorable Mention: "Shave Ice" by (INSynergy Engineering, Inc.)
A gigantic spam musubi.
The Hawaii quarter
A gecko
Wonderful shots. I love this. Thanks again for stopping by :) Aloha
