Chocolate Chip & M&M's Cookie Bars Recipe

It's no secret that I love to bake, but if I'm pressed for time (or just lazy), I end up making bars instead.  So when I recently found myself quite busy but really wanting to bake, I made these Chocolate Chip & M&M's Cookie Bars.

Chocolate Chip & M&M's Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 c flour
• 1/2 t baking soda
• 1/8 t salt
• 1 c butter, softened
• 1/2 c granulated sugar
• 1/2 c firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 t vanilla extract
• 1 c chocolate chips
• 1 c M&M's

Directions:

• Preheat oven to 350°F. 
• In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
• In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
• Mix in egg and vanilla. 
• Pour in flour mixture and combine well.
• Mix in chocolate chips and M&M's.
• Pour batter in prepared 9x13 pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
