#KIDPRENEURS to Sell Lemonade, Raise Funds for Charities

On Saturday, April 12 from 10am to 3pm, head down to the Pearlridge Center Parking Lot between TJ Maxx and California Pizza Kitchen (98-1005 Moanalua Road in Aiea) for Lemonade Alley 2014.

There will be over 25 Lemonade Alley teams participating, representing students from grades K-12. Guest judges, including local business and community leaders, as well as live entertainment, including EMKE, 247 Danceforce, and beatboxer Jason Tom, will all be a part of this event.

Lemonade Alley is an annual hands-on business competition that provides kids with an opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, financial literacy and charitable giving through a hands-on experience. Teams of two to five students compete within three grade divisions for $1,000 cash awards and other prizes while raising money for local charities. Students design and build lemonade stands, invent lemonade recipes and promote their one-day businesses. During the competition, teams participate in a judged taste-test and 1-minute on-stage sales pitch. Teams sell as much lemonade as possible to the public to support the charities of their choice. The public is welcome to attend and admission is free.

Established in Honolulu in 2011, Lemonade Alley is sponsored by the BizGym Foundation, the non-profit arm of BizGym.com.
