Hughley's Southern Cuisine

Our family recently went over to Nat's home and we took over some food from Hughley's Southern Cuisine.

Large Mac 'N Cheese

Fried Chicken Thighs with Hush Puppies and Fried Okra

Beef Brisket with Candied Yams and Fried Okra

Cornbread

Catfish and Green Beans

I phoned in my order and when I arrived at Hughley's my order was being put together and a very nice gentleman was looking through one of the plates.  I should have checked all the plates myself, as when I opened up the plate's at Nat's house I noticed a side (Baked Beans) was missing from my Fried Chicken plate.  I did call the restaurant to let them know and they asked if I was going to come back and pick up the side, but I wasn't about to drive back.  I was disappointed, but now I will always be sure to check the takeout food myself from now on even if someone is standing in front of me checking the food.

As for the food - my husband enjoyed the brisket, and I thought the chicken was good.  My favorite item was the Hush Puppies.  My kids loved the Corn Bread.

Although they forgot to put a side in with my order, the employees were all very friendly, and I would definitely give them another try - and will be sure to double-check my order the next time!
