Pu`u `Ualaka`a State Wayside

I had no idea Pu`u `Ualaka`a State Wayside existed until Nat had posted about it on our other blog a few years ago, and I finally went with my family to take in the beautiful views.

 

 

 

In addition to the magnificent views, there are also a couple of picnic shelters, restrooms, and a 1-mile loop trail - the `Ualaka`a trail, which is categorized as an easy family trail.
 

It was rather muddy and slippery due to rain the night before, and although my kids really wanted to walk the entire trail, we decided against it and we will definitely return later.
