The water was very calm that day, and there were many people at the beach - including a lot of little kids, swimming and splashing around in the water.
Of course, there were also many people jumping off the famous Waimea Bay Rock.
Showers and restrooms are on site, and there are plenty of benches and grassy areas for picnic lunches.
We arrived at the beach early - a little before 9am, and there was plenty of parking available, but when we left a few hours later, there were numerous cars waiting for stalls to open up, and many cars had already parked along Kamehameha Highway.
It was a great day at Waimea Bay!
