Remember that Furikake Wasabi Salmon recipe? I love using it on chicken too (I actually prefer the chicken over the salmon)
Normally my husband bakes the chicken, but this time I decided to deep fry pieces of chicken, and it turned out delicious!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 c flour
- 2 eggs
- Oil for deep frying
- 2 c Yoshida Original Marinade & Cooking Sauce
- 1/2 c Nori Fumi Furikake (more or less based on your preference)
- 1/2 c mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 t wasabi paste
- Dredge chicken in flour, then egg, and then flour again, and deep fry until golden brown (approximately 5-6 minutes)
- Dip cooked chicken immediately into sauce until coated
- Place chicken on a plate and sprinkle furikake over chicken
- Mix mayonnaise and wasabi paste until combined
- Drizzle over chicken
