Unbeknownst to many, Liliha Bakery opened their long-awaited second location on Nimitz Highway this morning. They did not announce it on their social media platforms nor did they issue a press release. I first learned about their opening when I saw it featured on Frolic Hawaii's website. Since I didn't have plans during my lunch hour, I headed down to Nimitz to check out their new location.
They took over the spot that was formerly occupied by Sam Choy's. There is a lot of customer parking, although that may change as they get busier. Hopefully they do not resort to valet parking because that'll just add to the cost of your dining experience here. And it will be more difficult for those who just want to go in and out to buy from the bakery.
The entrance faces Nimitz Highway going ewa bound (towards the airport).
Which way?
Coco puffs are their most popular item, and so they have a display case of 12-packs for easy access. You don't need to take a number and wait your turn to purchase these. Just grab and go.
Bread loafs and cookies are displayed for grab n go too.
If you came here to eat, you have the option of eating at the counter or on a table. Now families with babies can dine here. I'm in luck!
Here is the menu for the dining room.
