I have a love-hate relationship with La Cucina. I love their food - every dish is full of flavor, cooked to perfection and made to order. But there is a downside - because every dish is made with a lot of skill and care, service is painfully slow. I've dined here for dinner numerous times, and each time I've had to wait a long time for my food.
But, I've discovered a way to enjoy their delicious Italian fare without having to devote an entire evening to my meal - go for lunch.
I treated my friend to lunch here for his birthday, and I was amazed at how quickly the food comes out as compared to my prior dinner experiences. I was bummed that my favorite dish (Tagliolino Aragosta) is not on the lunch menu, but I was satisfied with the Spaghetti Aio Oio.
Dara, the hostess, is always very friendly, and even brought out a special dessert for the birthday boy.
Lunch for 2 people came out to $37.
