Had the day off so I ventured into Chinatown with my two little ones for my most favorite meal of the day. Brunch.
Started with the fresh watermelon spritzer with mint and lime. It was very tasty and kept my 3 year old occupied until the food came which is a win for me.
The breakfast menu is somewhat limited but I decided on the sivle (griddled banana bread, praline bacon, salted peanut gelato, caramelized banana); cinnamon-sugar donut muffins served with a vanilla anglaise; and the B.L.T. Benny (Bacon english muffin, crispy bacon, roma, arugula, 142 degree eggs, peppered hollandaise, crispy smashed taters).
I liked everything about the sivle. The banana bread was delicious and the salted peanut gelato was so good, I wanted to ask for a bowl of it. I also really liked the praline bacon and the caramelized bananas.
The donut muffins were more muffin than donut and really sugary. My daughter liked this one as the bite sized donut muffins were perfectly sized for her.
I'm not really an eggs Benedict fan for fear off too much hollandaise but the BLT Benny has changed my mind. It was very tasty and nothing about it was overpowering. It was nicely balanced and I liked that it was served with arugula and potatoes.
Service was really excellent. Our server was cheerful, sweet and accommodating. Had a great brunch here.
