Cupcakes have come to Mililani Mauka! Our little neighborhood is now complete with this super sweet bakery owned by Kimberly Berky. Open daily from 7am to 8pm and on Sundays from 7am to 5pm, this bakery has been selling out fast. Either come early or give them a call (625-2253) and have them set aside some for you.
So far I've tried the chocolate sundae ($3.25), classic chocolate with cream cheese ($2.75), and red velvet ($2.75). The cupcakes are comparable to other popular bakeries and the frosting is really, really delicious.
I'm looking forward to trying out their other desserts including sweet potato squares, cheesecakes, cookies, bars and brownies, but so far I haven't gotten there early enough. You can also place special orders so keep them in mind for your next special occasion.
I read an article that Sugar Coated is open to suggestions for cupcake flavors so put on your thinking caps! I'm thinking Creme brûlée? Maple walnut? Can't wait to see what's in store!
Come early or there will be nothing in the showcase.
