Skindinavia The Makeup Primer Spray Review

I have pretty oily skin and usually by hour 3 of the work day, I am blotting my t-zone.  If I’m going out after work, I have to reapply my makeup.  I was pretty excited to try out Skindinavia’s Makeup Primer Spray that promises it will prevent makeup from melting, sliding or becoming cakey.  It claims that over 81% of consumer testers had a measurable reduction in oil and surface shine.
Skindinavia explains that its patented technology forms a lightweight, breathable web working with your makeup that slowly releases over 16 hours. The timed-release evaporation retains moisture longer while also drawing heat away from the skin as it slowly evaporates throughout the day. The results are fresh, cool makeup for up to 16 hours.
I tried the product for a week.  I applied as directed and was pleased that it didn’t feel sticky or heavy.  It’s a spray which means no messy fingers.  After applying, I put on my make up as usual.  During the course of the day, I noticed that my skin was less oily and that my makeup did stay fresh longer.
In fact, I decided to test out the primer spray on my trip to Disneyland.  Using the primer spray allowed me to be in the park all day and all night and not have to worry about my makeup.  There was even one night that I was sick and I did the unthinkable – I slept with my make up on.  It was pretty incredible that my makeup held up.  I’m very happy with the results of the primer spray.
While it’s a great addition to my skincare arsenal and has earned a space in my medicine cabinet, I would categorize it as a nicety instead of a necessity.
It’s great to know that Skindinavia’s spray is oil, paraben, and sulfate-free.  The primer spray retails for $35 for a 4 ounce size and they are currently running a promotion on their site.

I received the product free of charge for review purposes.
