I learned of Wow Wow Lemonade when I had one of their yummy liege waffles at the Pearlridge Farmer's Market. Since then, I've noticed tons of pictures of their cute mason jar lemonades on my Instagram feed. I was pretty excited when they opened a lemonade stand in Wahiawa so one day I stopped by for an afternoon treat for the kids (and me). I ordered a strawberry lemonade for my daughter and the lava flow in a mason jar to share with my son.
When I got my total of almost $17, I was a little taken aback. But then I had a taste of the lava flow and it was delicious. The 24oz drinks start at $5 and are handcrafted with produce from local farmers. With Hawaiian lemonade flavors like strawberry li hing, blackberry lavender, and pitaya, you're not going to find many other places serving up these unique concoctions. Totally worth it. My germaphobe daughter wouldn't let me taste her drink, but I did anyway when she wasn't looking and it was really tasty and refreshing.
We were looking forward to some of their yummy liege waffles, but they weren't on the menu. Instead they offer three kinds of superfood smoothies: Hana Greens, Auntie's Pitaya, and Cacao Lani ($8 each for a 16oz cup).

They are located in Wahiawa, a little bit down from Papa John's and Teddy's. There are some stalls fronting the shop, but be careful getting out of the car because it's right on the main road.
I encourage you to read their story of how they got started on their website. Their love of community and sharing of aloha is very inspiring and made me appreciate this local business even more.
