One of My Favorite Happy Hour Spots - Monkeypod Kitchen

I love Monkeypod Kitchen's Happy Hour, and I recently met up with my friend @dwood1999 (a fellow USC Trojan alum that I worked with in college who is now a retired kazillionaire and travels the world while working on films!) and his family there for dinner.

Happy Hour is 3-5:30pm daily, excluding holidays, and all pizzas (excluding the Bourgeois) are just $9, and appetizers are 50% off (with the exception of the raw bar mixed plate and poke tacos)!

My favorite appetizer is the Pumpkin Patch Ravioli, which I often order as my entree.  The Kiawe-Roasted Squash in the ravioli is just so soft and creamy, and is complemented nicely with the chevre, spinach, and toasted walnut sage pesto.

On this visit I also tried a piece of the special pizza of the night - Southwest Chicken.  It had a little bite to it, and was very tasty.

Of course we couldn't leave Monkeypod Kitchen without eating pies for dessert (I never used to care for pies until I tried Monkeypod's).  The pies are huge and delicious!

Monkeypod does offer a kid's menu, but we always just order a couple of pizzas, which turn out to be cheaper than if we ordered a meal for each of the kids.

I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back at Monkeypod for Happy Hour!
