I often order bread pudding at restaurants for desserts, and I decided to try and make my own using this recipe from Allrecipes.com.
It was a cinch to make, and it turned out delicious.
And it was even better when topped with some vanilla ice cream!
Bread Pudding (recipe adapted from Allrecipes.com)
Ingredients:
- 6 slices day-old bread (I used French bread)
- 2 T butter, melted
- 1/2 c raisins
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 c milk
- 3/4 c w sugar
- 1 t ground cinnamon
- 1 vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Break bread into small pieces and place in prepared 8 inch square baking pan.
- Drizzle melted butter over bread.
- Sprinkle with raisins.
- In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla; beat until well combined.
- Pour mixture over bread, ensuring all bread is covered in mixture.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
