They turned out amazing! They were chocolate-y, caramel-y, and delicious!
Chocolate Oatmeal Caramel Bars (recipe credit Pillsbury)
Ingredients:
- 1 roll refrigerated chocolate chip dough or 1/2 of your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe
- 1 c quick-cooking oats
- 2/3 c caramel ice cream topping
- 5 T flour
- 1 t vanilla
- 3/4 c chopped walnuts
- 1 c chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- In large bowl, mix cookie dough and oats together.
- In prepared 9x9 pan, press half of dough on bottom to form crust.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together caramel topping, flour, and vanilla.
- Once crust is done baking, sprinkle walnuts and chocolate chips over crust.
- Drizzle caramel mixture.
- Crumble remaining half of dough over caramel mixture.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool completely before cutting.
