Timmy Tom's Gourmet Sandwiches

Subway is the king of sub sandwiches, but when you're looking for a sandwich with higher quality ingredients and willing to pay a premium for it, head to Timmy Tom's in Kailua. They bake their own bread, and judging by the paper that the sandwiches come in, they use Boar's Head meat.

The Vinny is a sure winner: Salami, Capicola, Provolone Cheese, Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Italian herbs and Vinaigrette.  $7.29

The King Kamehameha is a great mystery to me. It's not on their printed menu. But my hubby swears he saw it referenced in Yelp reviews, so he ordered it, and only after he paid did he realize that this sandwich is a whopping $14.  It's loaded with deli meat, and two people with reasonable appetites could easily share it.  The subs do not come pre-cut, so if you are sharing you may want to ask them to cut it for you.

Also available: Little Kahunas (any sub, with meat and/or cheese only), Ono Clubs, Walking Salad (no bread).

Limited delivery area (kailua Town & MCBH), one sandwich minimum. Delivery orders include charge of +/- $.50 per item plus tax. MCBH deliveries add $2.99 + tax.

Outside picnic bench seating only.
