Visit British Columbia: Top 10 Canada Omiyage

I went a little crazy buying omiyage in Canada.  As usual I bought a lot of chocolaty treats, and here are my top 10 choices for Canada Omiyage.  

  1. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Trading Post: They offer a lot of locally-made products, but their fudge is a must-try and must-buy.  Handmade daily, and with over 25 flavors to choose from, the fudge is pure decadence!
  2. Vachon:  Vachon makes all sorts of sweets that you can find at most grocery stores in Canada.  They're Jos Louis is a classic for a reason - two sponge cakes with a creamy middle, and covered with chocolate.  YUM!!
  3. Coffee Crisp: A Canadian Classic and Nestle product, Coffee Crisp is so popular all throughout the country.
  4. Butter Baked Goods: Makers of all sorts of yummy treats (cookies, cakes, muffins, etc.), Butter Baked Goods' Homemade Marshmallows are simply divine.
  5. Beta 5: Named after the form-5 beta crystal structure which gives their chocolates a beautiful sheen, Beta 5 chocolates are pricey, but worth every penny.  
  6. Hagensborg Chocolates: With an adorable truffle pig as a mascot, who looks to have taken a bite out of their bars, Hagensborg Chocolates Bars are just as cute as they are delicious. 
  7. Wendel's True Foods: Who knew Gluten Free could taste so good?  Wendel's offers GF cookies, pies, cakes, and more!
  8. PRANA:  Looking for healthy, organic snacks?  Then check out PRANA. They offer a great variety of dried fruits, nuts, seeds, trail mixes, and more.
  9. Whistler Chocolate Bars: Offering 7 different types of organic chocolate bars, it'll be hard to choose which one to buy!
  10. ZibaDel Creations: They incorporate organic manuka honey into a lot of their products, and their Dark Spice Organic Manuka Honey Chocolate Truffle Bar is delicious with a kick!
