The salty pretzels and sweet chocolate made for a very delicious dessert!
Chocolate Chip-Pretzel Blondies (recipe slightly adapted from All You)
Ingredients:
- 2 c flour
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1 c chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c crushed salted pretzels
- 1 c chocolate chips
- 1/4 c smooth peanut butter
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in flour mixture.
- Stir in 1 chocolate chips and 1 cup pretzels.
- Spread evenly in baking pan.
- Bake approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt 1 cup chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute on high in the microwave.
- Spread mixture evenly over blondies.
- Sprinkle with remaining crushed pretzels.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
