Chocolate Chip-Pretzel Blondies

I love the combination of pretzels and chocolate chips, so I was eager to make these Chocolate Chip-Pretzel Blondies (recipe found on All You).
The salty pretzels and sweet chocolate made for a very delicious dessert!

Chocolate Chip-Pretzel Blondies (recipe slightly adapted from All You)

Ingredients:
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 c chocolate chips 
  • 1 1/2 c crushed salted pretzels  
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c smooth peanut butter 
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  • Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. 
  • In a separate medium bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla.  
  • Stir in flour mixture. 
  • Stir in 1 chocolate chips and 1 cup pretzels. 
  • Spread evenly in baking pan. 
  • Bake approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, melt 1 cup chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute on high in the microwave.
  • Spread mixture evenly over blondies. 
  • Sprinkle with remaining crushed pretzels. 
  • Let cool before cutting into squares.
