EAT Honolulu Cafe

Last week I met Nat for lunch at EAT Honolulu Cafe.
EAT's BLT

"Shoestring" Potato Fries

Soft Shell Crab Sandwich
EAT is located in the Na Lama Kukui center (formerly the Gentry Pacific Design Center), and there really is no formal "restaurant" to sit in - you place your order at the counter and sit at one of the tables in the hall fronting the counter.

The line to put in our order was painfully slow, but once our order was in the food didn't take that much longer to be ready.

Nat had the crab sandwich, which looked really good (and huge!), and she said it was indeed good.

I had the BLT, which consisted of Sugar Spice Bacon, local tomatoes & lettuce, and locally made bread. It was a nice sandwich - I just wished the bacon was cooked crispier (next time I'll know to ask), and I loved that a lot of local ingredients were used to make the BLT.

The fries were really good too - they were sprinkled with local herbs and Hawaiian salt, which made them very tasty.

One thing both Nat and I agreed upon was that there should've been more dessert options.  They did have some cookies and pops on hand, but we wanted something more substantial.

Overall I thought the food was quite good, and it was a nice place to have lunch.
