Introducing 111-Hawaii Product #2 - Mamaki Tea

The 111-HAWAII PROJECT is set to release their highly anticipated Product #2 – "Mamaki Hawaiian Herb Tea," made exclusively from home grown premium Hawaiian mamaki leaves on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Kuahiwi O Makamae LLC (Brand name: Kamilo‘iki) and 111-Hawaii collaborated to develop the second product together. Kuahiwi O Makamae produces health foods and beverages in Hawaii. Their Mamaki tea is produced using only high quality, premium mamaki leaves which are grown at Wood Valley Plantation, the first and only certified plantation of mamaki, established in 1905 on the Big Island of Hawaii.Wood Valley plantation is located in the Kau district on the southeastern side of Big island, at an elevation of 2,300 feet on the slopes of Mauna Loa. Being able to harness the purest and safest water along with the most fertile volcanic soil enables them to grow the highest quality Mamaki leaves.

What is Mamaki?
Mamaki is a plant that is native only to Hawaii. The Big Island of Hawaii is particularly known for the best quality mamaki, especially that grown on the slopes of Mauna Loa, the world's largest volcano. Mamaki was revered and treasured as a sacred plant as ancient Hawaiians had used it to purify both mind and body.

Benefits of Mamaki
Three major antioxidants: catechins, chlorogenic acid, and rutin in mamaki leaves were identified in the University of Hawaii study. A natural tea which is good for the health, known for its detoxification and anti-aging properties.
