Since we were stuck at
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for 15 hours, I got to know the airport fairly well. And I must admit, the services and amenities at the airport really helped to make such a lengthy delay tolerable. Here are the top 10 things I love about the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Phoenix Art Museum displays |
- Plenty of dining options - I loved that there were a variety of dining options to tide us over during the lengthy delay.
- Phoenix Art Museum - perusing the numerous displays throughout the airport helped pass some of the time.
- PHX Sky Train - the Sky Train made it easy to go between terminals (and the kids thought it was a fun ride!).
- Variety of shopping - from books to toys, and snacks to clothing, there
was a nice variety of stores from which we bought lots of souvenirs and snacks.
- Play areas for kids - great to help kids busy during long waits.
- Free Wi-Fi
- Customer Service - they are known as America's Friendliest Airport for a reason - the staff (which consisted of employees called Navigators) was helpful whenever we had questions or needed directions
- Charging stations - lots of charging stations throughout the airport, which was helpful during our delay.
- Spacious with plenty of seating - whether we were waiting at the gates, dining, or just resting, there were plenty of seats throughout the airport where we could stretch out and watch a movie on our smartphone, or the kids could nap.
- FiTPHX Trail - I did not have the right kind of shoes to walk this trail, but I love the fact this trail is available, offering a great way to get some exercise during a delay, with lots of scenic views!
