About Airfree P3000 Onix
Airfree ® is the natural solution to asthma, respiratory allergies and mold. Eliminates dust mites, bacteria, fungi, virus, pollen, allergens of domestic animals and other microorganisms from the air.

For a while now I've been researching air purifiers.  This is due to various reasons - particularly health and allergy issues.  So when I received an email about Airfree, I was very eager to try it out.

The lightweight Airfree 3000 was simple to use.  Simply put on a flat service and plug in!

I was impressed with how completely silent it was, and the dimming light gave off a bright blue glow.  At night it can be a little too bright, but fortunately there is a little knob underneath the unit which can be used to dim the light or turn it completely off.

The Airfree P3000 Onix is designed for rooms up to 650 square feet, and to work properly, it must be on 24 hours a day.

This took a bit of getting used to, since I was uncomfortable about leaving it on for a long time.  The unit does get a bit warm, but it does not get super hot, nor does it make the room warm.

How exactly does Airfree work?  According to the manual:
Contaminated air silently enters Airfree by air convection and is sterilized inside Airfree's patented ceramic core, where all microorganisms are destroyed/incinerated at high temperatures. The heat inside the ceramic core forces sterilized air out to the heat exchanger causing air convection, which generates negative pressure underneath the ceramic core, so contaminated air is “sucked” in at the bottom air inlets in a continuous and silent thus efficient air flow.

Basically, Airfree makes the air cleaner by reducing things such as mold spores, allergens, odors, and viruses.

I love that I don't need to clean any dirty filters, and that Airfree does not produce ozone.

I've had the AirFree P3000 Onix for a few weeks now, and so far no issues.  It's been working great, and I love knowing that Airfree is working hard to destroy environmental pollutants.
