Australian Gold's Hello Kitty Sunscreen Review

Complimentary products were received for review purposes.  All opinions are entirely my own.

Living in Hawaii where it's sunny almost 365 days of the year, we have to be especially diligent in making sunscreen part of our daily routine.  But even though I've applied sunscreen on my children from when they were little, my daughter still dreads it.  I practically jumped for joy when I received Australian Gold's Hello Kitty SPF 50 Lotion and Hello Kitty SPF 30 Lip Balm as she is a big fan of the popular Sanrio girl/cat.

The Hello Kitty sunscreen arrived just in time as we had thrown out our stock of sunscreen when we discovered they contained two ingredients to avoid: oxybenzone which can disrupt the hormone system and retinyl palmitate which may trigger skin damage on sun-exposed skin.  The first thing I did was check the Hello Kitty's sunscreen's list of ingredients and breathed a sigh of relief when both ingredients to avoid were not included.

My daughter and I tried the sunscreen and both agreed that we liked that they smelled nice and didn't leave us sticky.  The Hello Kitty sunscreen comes in two scents and SPF.  Summer Berry is SPF 30 and Sweet Starfruit is SPF 50.  I love that the sunscreen is made from a safe and gentle mineral lotion formula and is combined with skin care ingredients.  Yomogi extract which is considered a Japanese wonder herb and Butterfly Bush extract which is a native Chinese shrub are added to the formula to deliver sun protection with exceptional skin care.

The Hello Kitty sunscreen products are made by trusted sunscreen manufactuer Australian Gold.  Look for them in stores today!
