Visit Maui: Surfing Goat Dairy Farm

Our Hawaii Mom Blog readers gave me plenty of great family friendly activities to do on Maui.  Surfing Goat Dairy Farm came up often.  To be perfectly honest, I was a little skeptical how fun this would be. But I'm glad I listened because it turned out to be a really fun and mellow activity for my kids.

We took the basic 30 minute "casual" tour (last one is at 3pm) which we got to feed the goats, see them being milked, and sample cheese. The tour is $8 per child and $12 for adults.

The kids really enjoyed feeding the goats. The baby goats are really cute! And not stinky. Seeing the goats being milked was pretty interesting and tasting the different goat cheese was delicious!  The tour was short and sweet and the guide was great and informative.

The dairy farm, located in lower Kula, also sells truffles made with their goats' milk. The truffles are pricey but so worth it! We really enjoyed our time here.

The goats know that it is feeding time!

Cade loved feeding the baby goats.

Lauren feeding the "teenage" goats.

The goat milk goes straight to pasteurization.
These truffles are made from goat cheese and are so delicious.

There's also a play area on the dairy farm.
