4th of July Holiday Waikiki Staycation at the Halekulani Hotel

Beautiful Ocean Front View

Ever since the year my daughter, Lauren, was born, the in-laws have taken the entire family for a nice Waikiki staycation to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.  It's always been a fun time filled with splashes in the pool, visits to the beach, and time with family - without any of the headaches associated with Waikiki parking.  The past three years we have been staying at the luxurious and exceptional Halekulani Hotel, one of Waikiki's first and finest hotels.  Their commitment to service has always made our stay enjoyable and memorable.

On this recent visit, the Halekulani Hotel graciously upgraded our guest room to an ocean front room with two queens which overlooked the pool and directly on to Waikiki.  The view was stunning and we appreciated the extra space for our family of four.

Room décor is elegantly stated.

Separate sitting area to relax.

Guest rooms at the Halekulani range from more than 500 to 720 square feet and are categorized by view.  They are equipped with a separate glassed-in shower, spacious deep soak tub bath, a sitting area, and a full lanai to offer separate areas to relax during the day.  One of the things we loved the most about our room was the automatic light in the closet where we stored our luggage.  It's such a simple thing, but these thoughtful amenities really set this hotel apart from the rest.

The kids loved the room!  Even with the rollaway, we had plenty of space.

After a bit of relaxing in the room, my daughter and I took off for some girl time in the hotel's Veranda for Afternoon Tea while my husband and son enjoyed the view from the room.  After we got back, we headed to the heated pool.  From the pool, there is also convenient access to the beach.

Keeping cool at the pool with smoothies!

Having Halekulani's signature mai tai for some Mai Time.

During our stay, we also took advantage of the fitness room and hospitality room which offers guests a place to shower and change.  My daughter loved seeing the beautiful brides on their wedding day around the property and my son enjoyed hearing the live music from House Without a Key.

The night view from our room was equally gorgeous.

These beds were so comfortable!  We all slept very well!

The Halekulani hotel is conveniently located near Beachwalk which puts you within walking distance to some of Honolulu's best restaurants.  Of course, our stay would not be complete without Sunday brunch at our all-time favorite, Orchids.  This staycation at the Halekulani was so much fun and I loved that I was able to spend uninterrupted time with the kids and relax and recharge.  I cherish these experiences and I look forward to returning next year with my family.

The very best view in Waikiki.

Thank you to the Halekulani for the room upgrade.  All opinions are entirely my own.
