The Ocean Voyage Tour provided us with some of the most spectacular views of the mountains from the sea, and the Jungle Expedition Tour taught us so much about the historic area.
There are many other tours that Kualoa offers - from Horseback rides and ATV tours, to Ziplining adventures and fishpond tours, all of which focus on their mission of preserving the area while being able to share the history and natural beauty with visitors.
In between tours we toured the Kualoa Ranch Museum where there were several exhibits.
Kamapua`a - a demigod known for his ability to change into a man or pig; legend tells of how he ran away and hid in Holoape`e, a small valley behind Kualoa. |
And we also roamed the grounds, where there were so many interesting things to see.
Check out that tree carving! |
Lots of horses on the ranch! |
Soaps, candles, and more |
Cute honu! |

There was also a little shop serving up shave ice and other sweet treats, but my kids opted for the Melona and Popsicle found in a little freezer near Aunty Pat's Cafe - the perfect treat for such a gorgeous, but hot day at Kualoa.
I do have to mention that every single staff member we encountered at Kualoa was helpful and friendly. From the moment we walked up the stairs to the entryway, we were warmly greeted, and everyone from the tour guides to the cashier at the Cafe greeted us with the same aloha.
Our family really enjoyed our time at Kualoa. It was a full day of fun, adventure, education, and yummy food!
