Halekulani Hotel's Elegant Afternoon Tea

A stunning presentation.

My family and I have made it a tradition to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in Waikiki at the beautiful Halekulani Hotel, which is known for their elegance and exceptional service.  Another tradition in the making is getting dressed up with my daughter and enjoying a decadent afternoon tea at the hotel's Veranda which overlooks the courtyard.

The Veranda is secluded away from any noise and is the perfect setting for a serene afternoon together.  There's just something so whimsical and fancy about afternoon tea that my daughter and I both love.

Ready for some girl time.

On this hot, summer day, we both opted for iced tea with the Classic Afternoon Tea menu.  I chose the Blueberry Rooibos and my daughter selected the Pineapple Coconut Rooibos with Mango.  Both were amazingly fragrant and refreshing.  Also included in the Classic Afternoon Tea is European style tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries.

The fine tea selections are presented in a beautiful wooden box.

My daughter and I took our time smelling each of the fragrant teas.

The tea service starts with freshly baked currant scones and little lemon cakes served with double devonshire cream, the most amazing lemon curd, and Maui's Kula strawberry preserve.  The sandwiches include:  ham and watercress on poppy seed bread, cucumber with cream cheese and chives, chicken with Horseradish on whole grain bread, and smoked salmon with lemon cream on rye.  The assortment of pastries were visually stunning as was the entire presentation.

I loved the perfect texture of the scones while my daughter devoured the lemon cakes.
All of them.

My iced tea paired perfectly with the sweet and savory bites!

Afternoon tea is such a relaxing and refined experience.  I found sharing this with my daughter a priceless experience and good for the soul.

Thank you to the Halekulani for the complimentary afternoon tea for my daughter and I.  All opinions are entirely my own.
