We decided to go there again not too long ago for lunch at my oldest son's request, and I just had to get the Pesto-riffic Deep Dish Pizza once again.
Pepperoni Slice (sliced in 3), Garlic Knots, Pesto-riffic Deep Dish |
It was so delicious - with mozzarella, bacon, chicken, and pesto on a perfectly cooked deep dish crust.
They no longer have the Kids Pepperoni Pizza, but a single slice of their traditional pizzas is huge, and it can easily be sliced into three nicely-sized pieces.
Add some Garlic Knots, and you'll end up with happy and satisfied kids (who can play in the little play area - complete with toys, games, and a chalkboard - while waiting for their pizzas or while waiting for mom and dad to finish eating).
During this visit Kaneohe's Boston Pizza was running a #ShowYourSlice social media contest, and after posting this pic, I won a free slice!
So a few weeks later we happily went back.
Carbonara, Chicago Classic Deep Dish, Garlic Knots, Pepperoni |
My husband wanted to try a different pizza this time around, so we opted for the Chicago Classic. Topped with mozzarella, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, and black olives, I thought it was good, but not nearly as good as the Pesto-riffic Pizza.
For my free slice, I opted for the Carbonara, which I thought was very good. The Carbonara is made with mozzarella, spinach, yellow onions, ham, bacon, olive oil, and garlic. Even my kids liked it!
Although the service on our most recent visit was not as stellar as on the first two visits, Kaneohe's Boston Pizza is still one of my favorite restaurants - not only for their pizzas, but also for their kid-friendliness.
