Visit Seattle: Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room

If you love coffee and even if you don't, be sure to visit the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room.  It is like no other Starbucks.  Starbucks reused the historic and former Packard Seattle auto showroom on Capitol Hill and transformed it to house its new roasting facility, café, Serious Pie restaurant, and retail store.

The retail store is great and offers items unique to the roastery.  You can purchase rare and award winning coffee beans as well as all your favorites.

You'll be greeted with a coffee sample.
Award winning and rare coffee beans are available for purchase.

In the same space is the café area where you can get your delicious baked goods and coffees while taking in the sights of the large storage silos and other coffee machinery.  Downstairs you will find a second coffee bar and open seating where you can share a table and enjoy a coffee or an espresso flight.  A private room available for rent is also located downstairs.

Coffee beans are transported through these beauties.

These silos store coffee beans.

Seating downstairs.

Making coffee!

There is a large unisex bathroom on site with an attendant to guide and ensure you that you are not in the wrong place.

My friends and I spent hours here enjoying our coffees and shopping.  We then had some Serious Pie for lunch.  Nice place to chill and relax.  Time was well spent here.

Cheers!  Started with breakfast and stayed for lunch at Serious Pie.

  1. Oh cool! I probably told you this before, but we get our coffee all shipped to us here from the Big Island. My mom's friend owns a coffee farm there called Nishina Farms. It is the best coffee on earth.
Also, I have Hawaii pictures up on my blog today. :)
