HASR Bistro

HASR (highly allocated spoiled rotten) Bistro looks tiny and cozy from the outside, but past the front indoor seating, it expands to a back room that can accommodate large groups.

As to be expected, they have a great wine list and their cocktails are pretty great too.  One of their popular cocktails is their Moscow mule served in copper mug and all.

Our service started off a bit slow, but got better and better from there.  The menu selection offers a bit of everything: seafood, pork chops, steak, short ribs, and lamb.  I was feeling adventurous so I ordered my first ever seafood ciopinno.  I loved the tomato based soup and I especially liked the fish and crab in it.

We ordered all of the desserts on the menu and since we were celebrating a couple of birthdays, our server gave us gelato on the house.  The chocolate decadent cake was a little too rich and decadent for me and the key lime cheesecake slice we got was pretty small, but the kona coffee gelato was exceptional and also very generous in size.  The dark rum crème brulee was also delicious.

Parking is available on the street or in the municipal lot off of Beretania.  Beware, the lot next door charges $12 on a Friday night, but it is the closest alternative.

HASR Bistro is an excellent place for dinner!
