Jimmy Buffett's at the Beachcomber

I've always enjoyed Jimmy Buffett's at the Beachcomber.  Last year I was saddened at the news they'd be closing down, but was so excited when they remained opened after new ownership, and the new menu was fantastic.

Sadly, it was recently announced that a new restaurant will be taking the place of Jimmy Buffett's, but at the same time I am excited for the new restaurant.

With this news in mind, I knew I had to visit Jimmy Buffett's one more time before it closes down for a renovation to make way for the new restaurant.

The first time I ever had Jimmy Buffett's Volcano Nachos was in Cancun, and almost every time we've been to the Waikiki location we've ordered it.

The Volcano Nachos at the Beachcomber location are the best Nachos I've had anywhere, and that's because of the House-Made chips. They are so amazing - I could eat them as is, but topped with Chili, Cheese, House-Made Salsa, Big Island Guacaomle, Tomatoes, Green Onions, and Salsa, they were even more amazing.

The Keiki Menu consisted of only 4 items, but the portion sizes were generous.

The Bread Pudding, topped with Roasted Local Apple Bananas, Butterscotch Rum Sauce, and Coconut Creme Fraiche, was decadent.

Since Jimmy Buffett's at the Beachcomber is operated under the same umbrella as Monkeypod Kitchen, a few of their menu items can be found on the menus at Monkeypod, so even after Jimmy Buffett's closes, you can still dine on some popular faves at Monkeypod.

I'm glad I got to dine at Jimmy Buffett's again.  I'm really going to miss the Volcano Nachos!
