My husband and I recently had dinner at Assaggio's in Mililani. We try to go there on most occasions just because we love it.
My favorite dish is the Alla Marinara Style with Jumbo Shrimp. It's a lightly floured and pan fried in olive oil, garlic and mushrooms with a red wine tomato sauce. So delicious!
My husband's all time favorite is Osso Buco Alla Romana. It's a braised veal shank with onions, garlic in a lightly seasoned tomato sauce.
Assaggio has a wide selection of pastas or if you prefer, they also have Filet Mignon and New York Steak dishes to name a few. They offer small and large portions and are open for lunch as well.
The best part of dinner is dessert. My favorite dessert is the Amaretto Gelato Ice Cream. I cannot get enough of it. I would come just to get dessert.
I love my pasta and Assaggio's is one of my favorite places to eat. They also have locations in Ala Moana, Hawaii Kai, Kahala Bistro, Kailua, and Kapolei. I'm sure most of you have been there, but for those of you who have not, definitely try it. You won't be disappointed.
