Lunch at the New Angelo Pietro Location in Kaimuki

Last month when I went to a preview at the new Angelo Pietro in Kaimuki, my friend commented on my Instagram post, asking if I could make reservations for the following week.

And so I did, since I knew that Angelo Pietro is one of her favorite restaurants!

DIY Pasta - Shrimp, Mushroom, and Fried Onions
Since they no longer have my favorite dish on the menu (Chicken & Eggplant Ginger-Orosi Sauce), I decided to try the Mixed Mushroom Doria.

A bed of Seasoned Rice is topped with a mixture of Shiitake Mushrooms, Enoki Mushrooms, Shimeji Mushrooms, Broccoli, Bacon, and Mozzarella Cheese. I was in mushroom heaven!  Although I could've done without the Broccoli, I thought the dish was absolutely delicious!

Even though my friend noted that complimentary Bread is no longer served (and instead a piece of Garlic Bread was served with our meals) and the Fried Onions now cost extra (whereas it was free before), she absolutely loved her pasta.

We had a great lunch, and I know my friend is happy that Pietro's is once again in operation!
