Noi Thai Cuisine in the Royal Hawaiian Center

The cut out design in the wall is beautiful.

Brace yourselves.  Noi Thai Cuisine is unlike any other Thai restaurant in Hawaii.  Its beautiful and opulent design echoes throughout the restaurant and the Thai cuisine will delight your palate.

I was very excited to attend a media dinner last night and received a tour of the restaurant by Noi's General Manager, Ying Rosawan.  She explained that the restaurant's design was inspired by the Royal Thai Palace with outer, central and inner courts.

The outer court is represented by the outside seating area and the central court houses a beautiful water structure to honor the traditional Thai festival Loy Kratong and pay respect to the goddess of water.  Inside the central court is also home to a private room named the Golden Pavilion which can seat 8-10 people.

The inner court is decorated with images of shadow puppets, which is famous in southern Thailand.  Inside and hidden away in the inner court is the War room which seats 10.  The War room is decorated with golden apexes which symbolize the stairway to heaven.

The fine details in the design of the restaurant are unlike anything I've ever seen and were a welcomed feast for the eyes.  Another hidden treasure of the restaurant is the Chef's table.  Currently it is still in the process of being decorated and will be available for private parties next year.  At the Chef's table, guests will be treated to a private meal designed and prepared by the Chef.

L-R: Traditional Thai seating is an option; the bar and seating; the Golden Pavilion room with beautiful golden leaves hanging from the ceiling; the inner court, the War room, Chef's table and view of the kitchen.

We sampled so many dishes and they were all delicious and beautifully prepared!  Unlike other Thai restaurants where we need to specify the spice level, at Noi's we can sit back in confidence and enjoy the authentic Thai dishes created by the best chefs in Thailand.

I honestly enjoyed every dish I tried.  My favorites were the tom yum lobster prepared tableside, the green curry wagyu beef, and the black sticky rice for dessert.  The fresh rolls and crispy taro rolls were also delicious and I know my kids would just love the satays and the crispy garlic chicken.  Families are in for a treat as there are three menu items under $10 just for kids and served on a delightful chicken shaped tray!

I love this!  Best kids meal presentation.  Ever.  The rice is presented in the leaves.  Thanks Toby Tamaye for the photo!
In addition to their dinner menu, a lunch and happy hour menu are also available.  The happy hour menu boasts items ranging from $5-$12 and is available daily from 3-7pm at the bar and lanai.  Noi's also offers amazing cocktails in addition to their fine wines and beers.  I look forward to returning to this elegant restaurant and sharing the excellent experience with my family and friends.

Noi Thai Cuisine is located on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and is open daily for lunch from 10:30am-3pm and for dinner from 5-11pm.

Was a pleasure meeting Noi herself!
