Brekky at Scratch Kitchen & Bake Shop

Almost a year ago Nadia blogged about just the "Milk & Cereal" Pancakes from Scratch Kitchen & Bake Shop.  That's right - a blog about just one dish.  In fact, the title of the post said "Eat This!"

So when my husband, youngest son and I went to Scratch Kitchen & Bake Shop one day, of course we ordered the "Milk & Cereal" Pancakes!

After taking our orders, our server did warn us that the pancakes would take about 20 minutes since there was such a high demand, but we didn't mind.

We got the Stuffed French Toast (only 12 orders daily) - Brioche with Nutella, Berries, Mascarpone, and Toasted Almonds, and the BLT Benny - Smoked Bacon, Poached Egg, Kale and Tomato atop an English Muffin and accompanied by Smashed Taters - in a timely manner.  The Stuffed French Toast was sweet and delicious, and the BLT Benny was savory and satisfying.

After about 30 minutes, our server gave my son a muffin - I thought it was because of the long wait for the pancakes, but turns out she forgot we still didn't get the pancakes, because shortly after we got our bill!  After reminding the server we were still waiting for the pancakes, she was apologetic, and soon a plate full of pancakes arrived at our table.

I drizzled the "Milk" Syrup on the Frosted Flakes + Bananas + Berries-topped pancakes and took a bite.

Wow!

I am not a big pancake eater (and if I do eat pancakes I don't even use syrup) - I will always choose something else (usually savory) to eat for breakfast, but these pancakes were amazing!  The pancakes by themselves were great, but with the sweet milk syrup drizzled on, it was totally scrumptious

And my husband said they were "the best pancakes ever!"
