Fatburger

If you have base access and want a great burger, Fatburger at Joint Base Pearl-Harbor Hickam is a must-visit.

We recently visited, and although the food was great, service was an issue (note - Fatburger already responded to my email regarding the service issues).

You can customize your burgers or sandwiches however you want at Fatburger, and they offer several different varieties of fries, as well as onion rings.

I had a Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Grilled Onions and Fat Fries.

My husband ordered a Medium Jalapeno Fatburger with complimentary extras - onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, relish, and mayo, and added on Bacon (extra charge).

We both loved the food, but the service left much to be desired.

To make an extremely long story short, we were overcharged by more than $10, and the server seemed unfamiliar with the menu because of numerous discrepancies we were told when ordering. I attempted to get one of the issues resolved while at Fatburger, but my efforts were fruitless (after numerous email attempts I did get a response from the local management).

I do wish there were other Fatburger locations around Oahu - the food is great and I love being able to customize our meals just the way we like it.
