Award-Winning Hoala Salon and Spa Coming to West Oahu

DeBartolo Development today announced that the award-winning Hoala Salon and Spa will open its second Hawaii location at Ka Makana Ali`i, the 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall currently under construction in West Oahu.

The locally owned Hoala Salon and Spa will occupy a 1,772-square-foot facility at Ka Makana Ali`i. Aligned with the Aveda brand as a Lifestyle Salon and Spa, the new location will offer a full range of services that include haircuts and coloring, waxing, facials, manicures and pedicures, massages and spa body treatments, all featuring Aveda’s luxury line of natural and eco-sensitive products and aromas.

“From early on we recognized that the caliber of Ka Makana Ali`i, its tenants and location were the best match for us. We know the market well and are looking forward to bringing our special brand of care and luxury services to the families and visitors of West Oahu,” said Lititia Thomas, owner of Hoala Salon and Spa. “In addition, we are proud that we will be able to offer new opportunities for professionals to join our team at our new location, as well as the chance for current team members to relocate closer to home.”

“As a five-time winner of Honolulu Magazine’s Best of Honolulu award, Hoala Salon and Spa is a great example of the kind of premier tenants we are attracting to Ka Makana Ali`i,” said Edward Kobel, President and Chief Operating Officer of DeBartolo Development. “Hoala will serve as a serene oasis in Hawaii’s fastest growing region where West Oahu residents and visitors can enjoy luxury and specialty beauty services just minutes away from their home or hotel.”

Ka Makana Ali`i will be the first regional mall built on Oahu in more than three decades and the only shopping center being developed in West Oahu with department and specialty stores. Confirmed tenants include anchor Macy’s, H&M, Forever 21, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Skechers, Kay Jewelers, 24 Hour Fitness, California Pizza Kitchen, Luibueno’s, AT&T, Zales, Zumies, Rix Island Wear, Town & Country Surf Designs, Reyn Spooner, Plus Interiors, Nagoya Ramen, Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Gloria Jean’s Coffee, a state-of-the-art Consolidated Theatres, and Hawaii’s first Hampton Inn & Suites. Construction is currently underway on the first phase of the mixed-use center, with grand opening slated for fall 2016.
