Magnolia Bakery Cafe

Although I was excited for Magnolia Bakery Cafe to open up, I wasn't nearly as excited as Nadia, who showed up the day after it opened.  I decided to wait a while to actually try Magnolia Bakery Cafe, and that day finally arrived last month.

Chips
Croque Madame
Apple Dutch Baby
Kids French Toast Sticks

I opted for the Croque Madame.  The grilled ham & gooey Gruyere cheese open-faced sandwich, combined with a tangy Dijonnaise and a creamy Bechamel sauce, and topped with a scrambled egg, was delicious!  It was the first time I had a Croque Madame!  It was served with chips (could also opt for salad or coleslaw), and although I thought it was a bit pricey for $12, I really enjoyed it.

My husband ordered the Dutch Apple Baby - a puffy pancake filled with cinnamon apples, which he really liked.  Our server did forewarn us that this dish may take a while, but it was on the table in less than 20 minutes, and was actually the first dish on the table!

My son opted for the French Toast Sticks off the kids menu.  They were served with whipped cream, syrup, and fruit.  He loved eating those sugary sticks of yummy French Toast!

Service was great, and it was worth the wait to finally try Magnolia Bakery Cafe!
