I love mahi - it's one of my favorite fishes to eat, but I never cooked it before, so I was a little nervous. But the Furikake Mahi Mahi turned out great, and it's now one of my husband's favorite dishes.
Ingredients:
- 2 lb mahi mahi, cut into 4 oz portions
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c water
- 1/4 c flour
- 1/4 c cornstarch
- 1 c furikake
- 1 c panko
- 1/4 c vegetable oil
- Mix egg, water, flour, and cornstarch in a shallow dish.
- Mix together furikake and panko in a separate shallow dish.
- Dip fish pieces into egg mixture, then furikake mixture.
- Fry fish pieces in oil on medium-high heat until golden brown on each side.
