Koko Head Cafe

I love all things breakfast and brunch, and I was so excited to finally try Koko Head Cafe.

Chicky & Eggs

Cornflake French Toast

Fish & Eggs Skillet

I don't eat chicken for breakfast very often, but the Chicky & Eggs skillet was calling my name. Everything was so delicious!  Japanese-style fried Jidori chicken was perfectly cooked - light and crispy on the outside; tender and full of flavor on the inside.  I would've been happy just with the chicken and rice, but combined with the French-style scrambled eggs, house-made pickles, and a drizzle of maple Tabasco - it was definitely the best skillet breakfast I've ever eaten.

My husband devoured the Fish and Eggs Skillet, which consisted of Miso-marinated fresh fish (the fish that day was ahi), ong choy, ocean rice, and house made pickles.

Even though I'm not a sweets fan when it comes to brunch, I persuaded my son to order the Cornflake French Toast so I could give it a try. I knew it was going to be great after Nat blogged about it, and it was indeed fantastic. The French toast was served with billionaire's bacon and a frosted flake gelato. All of the contrasting textures and flavors combined to create an amazing dish!

Service was excellent, and even though Koko Head Cafe was busy, we were fortunate to have just walked right in to get a table.  By the time we were done eating there was a line at least 10 people deep, but it's definitely worth the wait!
