They turned out very soft and chewy - just the way I like my chocolate chip cookies. Next time I will try and chill the dough overnight and use a combination of chunks and chips as suggested in the original recipe. If you love soft and chewy cookies, this is definitely a must-try recipe!
Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies (recipe credit Averie Cooks)
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c butter, softened
- 1/4 c cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 c brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 t vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 c flour
- 2 t cornstarch
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 1/4 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Combine the butter, cream cheese, sugars, egg, vanilla, and mix until creamy.
- Mix in the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls and roll into balls and flatten. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Bake in a pre-heated 350F oven for 8-10 minutes.
