Visit Vancouver: De Dutch

Since we didn't have a car while in Vancouver, we looked for dining spots near the SkyTrain stations, and one of those spots was De Dutch (near the Olympic Village station).

Pannekoeken

Abby Perogie Pannekoeken
De Dutch specializes in Pannekoeken, a Dutch-style pancake that is large and thin, and traditionally eaten rolled up and cut into pieces.

I opted for the Abby Perogie Pannekoeken, which consisted of DeBakon (a Dutch twist on bacon), hash browns, and onion inside, and topped with cheddar cheese and sour cream.

It was delicious! I loved all of the savory ingredients mixed inside the Pannekoeken!

My husband opted for the Meat Lovers, and he requested the ingredients on the side versus mixed in. The Meat Lovers included DeBakon, ham, sausage, cheese, and tomatoes.

Kids breakfasts include a side and a drink, and are reasoanbly priced from $4 3/4 (yes, 4 3/4 is what it says on the menu) to $7.

There is even a kids playspace in the restaurant!
The service at De Dutch was great, and so was the food.

I enjoyed trying a new type of breakfast food!
