Visit Vancouver: Fairmont Vancouver Airport

If I had to describe the Fairmont Vancouver Airport in one word, it would be impressive.

From the entrance, to the service, to the rooms, to the views - everything was simply impressive!

When we arrived at the hotel, I couldn't help but get excited as we crossed the glass walkway beneath a dazzling, crystal chandelier to get to the lobby.  It was a reflection of the luxuriousness that awaited.

Service was impeccable at check-in, and I was excited to get to our room, especially since it was our family's first time staying at a Fairmont hotel.

As soon as I opened the door I was blown away!

The entryway of our Signature Studio King room was adorned with a lovely console and mirror.

As soon as we turned the corner, I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious our room was, which was furnished with a king bed, queen sofa-sleeper, work desk, chair and ottoman, and flat screen TV.

The sofa-bed was not very comfortable, but I slept soundly at night on the ultra-comfy, heavenly bed.

The work desk doubled as a dining table, and it's this work desk my kids immediately headed straight for when we got to our room, as they spied the welcome kids amenities and the delectable plate of sweets.

The huge bathroom was equipped with a double sink vanity, an air-jetted soaker tub, stand-up shower, and water closet.

Le Labo bath amenities are provided, and they smell amazing! This was the first hotel I've ever stayed at that offered lip balm as an amenity!

And there was more to love!
There was a separate vanity area, an electronic Do Not Disturb panel, a charging station, reading lights, and floor-to-ceiling soundproof windows, which offered fantastic views of the runway.

My kids loved watching the airplanes take off, and there's a handy Plane Spotting Guide in the room, as well as departure information on the TV.

Other amenities included complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary water at turndown, a mini-bar/refreshment centre, a safe, plush robes, and a handy umbrella for those rainy Vancouver days.

In addition to the kids welcome amenities, the Fairmont offers kids menus with options that are not only tasty, but healthy as well.

Children aged 5 and under eat free from the children’s menu while kids aged 6-12 eat for half price when ordering from the regular menu.  The Fairmont Vancouver Airport also has a Families Take Flight Package!
As you can imagine, being at the airport is just so convenient, whether you're coming or going.  We had easy access to the SkyTrain, lots of shopping and dining options in the terminal, and we could quickly check-in at the ticketing counter (a kiosk is available in the hotel's lobby as well).

For those on long layovers, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport also offers Day Use & Quiet Zone Guest Rooms!

There are a couple of dining options in the hotel, as well as an indoor pool, health club, spa, and even a fish freezer!

The convenient location, the stellar service, the fabulous room, and all of the great amenities at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport truly made for an impressive stay.
