Visit Whistler: Crystal Lodge and Suites

While planning our trip to Whistler, a friend and I did a lot of research on hotels, and we both agreed that the Crystal Lodge and Suites would be ideal for many reasons - the central location in Whistler Village, the variety of room options, and the plentiful amenities, to name a few.

As soon as we arrived at the 158-room Crystal Lodge and Suites, we received a warm welcome - literally!  The weather was so chilly for our Hawaii skin, but once we stepped in the lobby, the kids made a beeline to the fireplace to warm up, while I received a warm reception at the front desk.

Spent a lot of time warming up by the fireplace!

Because we arrived prior to normal check-in time (4pm), we dropped off our luggage, went to eat lunch, and received a call when our room was ready.

Our Deluxe Queen Studio room was very spacious for our family of 5.  It consisted of two queen beds and a queen size pullout sofabed, a desk, flat screen TV, chair, and a hospitality center complete with a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, and silverware!

From our balcony we had pretty views of the snow-covered mountains.
Gorgeous view from our balcony!
The warm, earth-toned rooms offered us plenty of space for us to sleep, eat, relax, and watch TV.

The hospitality center came in very handy, especially for the many meals we took out and leftovers we brought back to the room.

We never had any issue with noise (although the hotel does supply ear plugs!), and the beds provided us with night after night of sound, comfortable sleep.

In addition to rooms spacious enough for large families, the Crystal Lodge and Suites also boasts other family-friendly features, like a game room and pool, and even complimentary cookies in the lobby!

Crystal Lodge and Suites also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, the use of a reusable bag to shop throughout the village, a Crystal Convenience mini bar service, a sauna, fitness center, complimentary ski/snowboard valet, and so much more!

One of the things I really loved about the Crystal Lodge and Suites was the location.

"at the centre of it all"
Being in the heart of Whistler Village was so convenient - you can walk everywhere!  On the hotel's property are 20 shops and restaurants (you can read my reviews of Wild Wood Pacific Bistro here, and Beacon Pub & Eatery here; hotel guests also get a Crystal Advantage card, through which guests can receive numerous discounts at the various eateries, services, and retailers on property during their stay), and it's just a short walk to the Upper Village, the Marketplace, and Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

I loved that we were able to walk to the hotel to take a nap after a morning on the mountain, or warm up by the fireplace after a chilly evening playing in the snow.

And whenever we walked through the lobby, we were always greeted with a friendly smile from the employees at the front desk.  The service at Crystal Lodge and Suites was great throughout our entire stay.

Whether traveling with friends or family (dogs are welcome too!), in the winter or summer (the hotel has a bike valet during mountain biking season), the Crystal Lodge and Suites is ideal for anyone seeking comfort and convenience in Whistler!

Mahalo Crystal Lodge and Suites for the warm welcome!
