Na Ho'ola Spa at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

Disclosure: Spa treatment was complimentary for review purposes

Now is a better time than ever to visit Na Ho'ola Spa at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.  Their new quarterly promotions and exclusive Kama'aina menu are too good to pass up.  Before I go into the details, let me tell you about the spa itself.

The Na Ho'ola Spa is located on the 5th floor of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki - a luxury resort across the street from Waikiki Beach.  The resort features two towers (1,230 remodeled rooms), complimentary wi-fi in each room, three restaurants, fitness center, pool, cultural classes, over 60 shops/boutiques, self and valet parking.

You do not need to be a guest of the resort to visit Na Ho'ola Spa.  In fact, they encourage local residents to visit their facility by creating a menu of specially priced treatments just for Kama'ainas.  The Hyatt recently invited HMB to preview one of the treatments on the Kama'aina menu, so I accepted their invitation on HMB's behalf to experience the 50 minute Waikiki Glam Massage.

Na Ho'ola Spa guests enjoy complimentary validated parking (self or valet) for up to four hours. Access to either parking option is via Uluniu Avenue (one way heading makai towards the beach).  Since I was unable to find parking in the self-parking lot, I had to utilize the valet service.  The valet was nice enough to volunteer directions to the spa. Thank goodness he did otherwise it would have taken me a lot longer than it did to find the elevator to the spa.  From the valet, proceed straight through the walkway and turn right after this waterfall on your right.  Take the elevator to the 5th floor.

After checking in with the front desk, I was escorted to my assigned locker in the women's locker room, which had a robe, slippers, and make-up/nail remover towelettes (intended for guests getting mani/pedis or facials).

I'm all set for my massage!

Na Ho'ola Spa has 16 treatment rooms. This one was mine and it had a gorgeous view of the pool deck and Waikiki Beach.

My practitioner was Kukui and she gave me the best 50 minute massage experience ever.  She gave me a lomilomi massage which incorporates long, rhythmic strokes utilizing her hands and forearms.  She was very receptive to my body and could sense which areas needed more work.  She was also very knowledgeable on the history of Hawaiian culture, the Spa, and the lomi lomi practice.  50 minutes went by in a flash and before I knew it, it was time to put my robe back on. Kukui told me I was tight all over and that I should get massages more often to release the tension.  No arguments here!

After my treatment was done, I helped myself to hot tea and ice water to hydrate.  That's very important after every massage.

With this as your view, wouldn't you want to stay here all day?

Alas I had other things to do today, so I headed back to the locker room and spent about 15 minutes in their dry sauna. Dry saunas are believed to relieve tension and stimulate blood circulation, which is exactly what this busy momma of two needed.

No visit to a spa is complete without a warm shower.  Na Ho'ola Spa's showers are fully equipped with liquid shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.  Don't forget to grab a razor on the sink (see below) if you feel like shaving.  I always feel cleaner post-shave so I took advantage of this!

The sink area has a great assortment of beauty products for all of your needs - deodorant, hairspray, facial cleaner, toner, and moisturizer....

mouthwash, shave cream, and body moisturizer...

q-tips, cotton balls, shower caps, razors, individually wrapped hairbrushes, and facial bars.

If I was here with my girlfriends, this would be a great area to rest, relax, and talk story with my gal pals before and after our treatments.

Before leaving the spa, I browsed through the Boutique which has many gifts and products unique to Hawaii.
