Visit Vancouver: Twisted Fork Bistro

While in Vancouver, we didn't have a car, so we decided to "wing it" when it came to meals.

The concierge at our hotel told us that Yaletown would be a good place to get off of the SkyTrain since there are numerous restaurants within walking distance.  Once we got off the SkyTrain in Yaletown, we discovered that the Twisted For Bistro was very close by.

Gruyere Baked Eggs

Croque Monsieur

French Toast

Fresh Fruit and Asiago Scones

Our server had warned us that the portion sizes were huge, but since we were on vacation, we decided to indulge in four different dishes.

I opted for the Croque Monsieur - brioche topped with Gruyere, cheddar, and ham. It was fantastic. Served with a salad and a house tomato sauce, it was so filling!

The Gruyere Baked Eggs were quite yummy, and were served with bacon, tomato, rosti, and baked beans.

The French Toast was stuffed with bananas and sprinkled with cinnamon icing sugar and toped with vanilla whipped cream. It was a decadent breakfast!

The Fruit Salad & Asiago Scones were served with a house made jam and vanilla yogurt. The scones were amazing! The savory scones paired nicely with the sweet jam and yogurt.

Service was excellent, and the food was simply amazing. If you are a breakfast/brunch fan, you definitely need to stop by Twisted Fork Bistro.

And don't forget - the portion sizes are indeed huge (we would've been more than satisfied with just two dishes).
