Fish House at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina

Fish House - opens June 28!
I was beyond excited for our staycation at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, and I was very eager to try out the restaurants there.  However, I was a bit bummed that I was going to miss the opening of Fish House, a restaurant specializing in line-to-table dishes, which was scheduled to open just two days after we checked out.

But my disappointment turned into elation when I found out that hotel guests would be able to dine there before the restaurant opens to the public!

Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server, Erikka, and her super cute chalkboard paddle which detailed the special of the day.

Love the cute paddles!
Although I do eat seafood, I usually stick to certain types of mild fish.  Upon inquiring with Erikka about the types of fish in some of the menu items that day, I was very unsure of what to order, since I never ate marlin (Fish Burger), and I've only tried swordfish (Tacos and Fish + Chips) once a long time ago, and thought it was just okay.

However, after getting some input from Erikka about how each type of fish tastes, I decided to get the Fish & Chips special.  I usually love fish and chips, and I figured at least I'd have the fries to eat if I didn't care for the fish.

I'm so glad I gave swordfish another try. The fish was very mild, and it was perfectly cooked. The furikake coating was light and not greasy, and gave the fish a lot of flavor. The fries - huge wedges of potatoes, were addicting.

My husband enjoyed his Fish Burger, which was topped with pickled daikon and a mango slaw, all atop a nori bun.

I thought the Chowder Fries were amazing (I kept dipping my fries in the chowder!).

A Kids Menu is available, offering a variety of choices for entrees, sides, and desserts, all for just $8!

Kids are immediately served watermelon slices upon seating.

The portions are pretty generous!

Spiced Up North Shore Corn on the Cob - we actually ordered Kids Brown Butter Corn on the Cob, but didn't realize this mistake until we got home

Kids Side Mac 'N' Cheese
Kids Chocolate Ice Cream
Kids Chocolate Brownie
Kids Vanilla Ice Cream
There was nothing mini about the cheeseburger - it was huge!

The mac 'n' cheese is made with pureed veggies instead of cream, but my kids couldn't tell the difference - they just ate it up!

The side corn looked amazing, but we ended up bringing it home, and it wasn't until we got home did I realize that my son didn't eat it because he was mistakenly served the Spiced Up North Shore Corn on the Cob from the regular menu instead of the kids Brown Butter Corn on the Cob.  It was indeed spicy (but I loved it!).

To end their meals, they all had desserts sprinkled with M&M's!

Speaking of dessert, I couldn't leave Fish House without indulging in something sweet.  At the recommendation of Erikka, we opted for the Passion Fruit Carrot Cake.
It was a fantastic choice.  It was light, yet bursting with passion fruit flavor.

Everything about our dining experience at Fish House was excellent - the food, the service, the view.

No matter where you sit at Fish House, you'll get treated to gorgeous views!

For a restaurant that hasn't even opened to the general public yet, I was very impressed! Erikka was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the food.

The Fish House opens tomorrow, June 28, but you can make your reservations now!
