After searching online and going through many recipes, I decided to try this recipe from Very Best Baking.
The recipes calls for both pretzels and potato chips, but I didn't have any pretzels on hand. The cookies still turned out great with just the potato chips. I love the sweet + salty combo!
Sweet + Salty Cookies (recipe slightly adapted from Very Best Baking)
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 c flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 c butter, softened
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 c chocolate chips
- 2 c coarsely broken rippled potato chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.
- Mix together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
- Stir in vanilla and eggs.
- Slowly beat in flour mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and potato chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
