Wafu Pasta with SPAM

Another super easy dinner I've made recently with ingredients I had on hand is Wafu (Japanese-style) Pasta with SPAM.

The recipe calls for sesame oil, but I sometimes leave it out since the flavor can be quite strong.

You can really add anything you have on hand - chicken, mushrooms, broccoli - it's a tasty way to use up leftovers!

Wafu Pasta with SPAM

Ingredients:
  • 1 8oz package spaghetti noodles, cooked
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 1 12 oz container SPAM, chopped
  • 1 stalk green onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 T shoyu
  • 1/2 T sesame oil (optional)
  • Furikake

Directions:
  • In a medium saucepan, cook SPAM (leaving some aside for garnish) in vegetable oil for three to four minutes on medium-high heat.
  • Add green onion and garlic.
  • Stir in spaghetti
  • Mix in shoyu and sesame oil.
  • Cook for three to five more minutes, ensuring pasta is evenly coated.
  • Top with furikake and more chopped SPAM
